About the Maddox Fund
The Dan & Margaret Maddox Fund is a private foundation with a mission to better the community through partnerships that protect the natural environment and improve the lives of young people. The Fund seeks a world where people and planet flourish together in regenerative systems free from oppression and threat.
Director of Grants and Operations, current
I took over as the Director of Grants and Operations at the end of 2025. This role focuses on some administrative functions such as administering grants, basic accounting, and oversight of the grant portfolio. Additionally, I shifted from leading the education grants over to Maddox's environmental grantmaking.
Program Officer, 2019 - 2025
When taking over the Program Officer role, I took over the entire education grant portfolio. This represented 35+ grant partners and just over $1,000,000/year in giving. I also took over being the lead administrator on the Grants Management System when the organization switched over to Salesforce.
Program Associate, 2017 - 2019
When I first began at the Maddox Fund I led the Out of School Time grant portfolio. This encompassed 17 partners working in the afterschool or summer school space. I also started leading up Maddox's communication efforts.
